| Your EVC is an NRA member who acts in a congressional district as the liaison between NRA members, gun owners, and Second Amendment supporters on the one hand, and various pro-freedom political campaigns on the other hand. The main goal of an EVC is to provide these campaigns with dedicated, educated activists to help with phone banks, literature drops, precinct walks, voter registration, Election Day activities, and other campaign volunteer activities. EVCs and their networks of volunteers also work to promote the legislative agenda of the Institute for Legislative Action, the NRA's political organ. Americans who want to remain free should support the NRA as it fights against the evil tide of tyranny that has washed over so much of the world throughout history.Even if you can spare only an hour a week, or a couple of days between now and Election Day, your EVC needs to hear from you. Barack Obama is very likely to have a rare opportunity to choose three or more Supreme Court justices. Since there are only nine justices on the Supreme Court, the re-election of Barack Obama could mean an anti-gun majority on the Court for the rest of your life. The right to keep and bear arms is under continuous assault from legislation, regulation, and foreign entanglements. Lose this right and the others will go the same way. Avoid this at any cost! |
